Blog EntryHabib Noh bin Muhammad Al-HabsheeJul 7, '08 5:37 AM
for everyone
Habib Noh bin Muhammad Al-Habshee

(1788 – 27/7/1866)

Habib Noh bin Muhammad Al-Habshee came from Kedah, Malaysia. Not much was known about his early life. He came from a family of 4 brothers: Habib Noh, Habib Ariffin and Habib Zain (both died in Penang) and the youngest Habib Salikin, who died in Daik, Indonesia.

From his marriage with Anchik Hamidah who came from Wellesley Province, Penang, they were blessed with only one daughter named Sharifah Badaniah. Sharifah Badaniah later married Syed Mohamad Bin Hassan Al-Shatri at Jelutong, Penang. The couple then gave Habib Noh his only grandchild, a girl named Sharifah Rugayah. She married Syed Alwi Bin Ali Aljunied and they had five children, two boys and three girls namely Syed Abdul Rahman, Syed Abdullah, Sharifah Muznah, Sharifah Zainah and Sharifah Zubaidah.

By most account, Habib Noh arrived in Singapore shortly after Sir Stamford Raffles landed on the island. He was in his thirties then.

Although he spent the rest of his life in Singapore, and died there, he travelled around, mostly to Johor Baru and other peninsular states of Malaysia, preaching Islam.

He was a very pious man. His nights were spent in praying till dawn. And he was a constant visitor of the graveyards, often praying for the souls of the dead. He always moved around with his closest friends except when he specifically requested to be alone.

He was well loved by people from all walks of life, especially children. He would often buy sweats and give money to children, the poor and destitute.

Thus it was without surprise people recounted many of his karamah.

He possessed the ability to literally disappear, and be seen at far away places. It was reported that he was ever seen praying in the Grand Mosque of Mecca in Saudi Arabia without actually making the journey there himself physically. Once he even told a departing haj pilgrim that they will meet in Mecca. When the person arrived there, it was Habib Noh himself who greeted him.

Habib Noh was also well known as a great healer, especially for children whom he loved very much. There was once when he healed a child with an injured leg, by simply putting his hands over the wound and reciting some prayers. Within moments, the child was able to run again as though nothing had happened to him. The father of the child was so happy; he donated shillings to Habib Noh, who in turn gave the money away to the needy.

Habib Noh would brave even the thunderstorm to tend to any sick child. He ever walked to Paya Lebar from his home at Telok Blangah under heavy rain to heal a child. When he arrived at the child's home, to the astonishment of the parents, Habib Noh was not drenched at all.

In another incident, Habib Noh was awakened by the continuos crying of his neighbour's child. When he went over, he found that the family was too poor to buy food for the hungry child. With tears in his eyes upon hearing the story, Habib Noh took a coconut kernel, poured some water in it and recited some prayers. By God's will, the water turned into milk for the child.

Habib Noh is also known for his powerful and accurate premonitions. He seemed to know if people were in need, sick or have intentions meant for him. Once there was an Indian Muslim man who traveled back to India to visit his family via sea. He made a sacred pact with God that if he were to return to Singapore safely, he would present Habib Noh with a gift. Upon returning, he was shocked when Habib Noh was already waiting for him at the shore.

Habib Noh called out to him,"I believe you have made a promise to give something to me." Surprised, the Indian Muslim man said, "Speak oh wise one what you wish for and I will gladly present it to you."

Habib Noh replied, "I would like to have rolls of yellow cloth to donate to the poor, the destitute and children."

Hugging Habib Noh, the Indian Muslim man cried, "By God, I will be most willing to present it to a man who is exalted in the eyes of God for his kindness towards mankind. Please give me three days to present them to you."

He did within the stipulated time.

After 78 years of life devoted to Islam, Habib Noh passed away peacefully on Friday, 27 July 1866 corresponding to 14 Rabiul Awal 1283. A few days before died, he gave many advise to his beloved friends. Amongst his treasured words were, "Don't be greedy for worldly materials nor have any ill-feelings towards anyone throughout your life."

Habib Noh breathed his last breath in Telok Blangah, at the residence of Johor's Temenggong Abu Bakar. When news spread, many people from all walks of life, including Englishmen who converted to Islam through Habib Noh, and those from the neighbouring islands came to pay their last respect. All horse-drawn carriages in Singapore came to a halt from their daily activities, to ferry the old folks, women and children to the funeral for free. But just before the cortege left the Temenggong's house for the burial ground, a strange phenomenon took place.

Before his demise, Habib Noh had actually instructed his friends to bury him at the top of Mount Palmer, which during that time was a small burial ground. Somehow on that fateful day, everyone had forgotten about it and they were all preparing to go to the Bidadari Muslim cemetery. When the time came to carry the coffin, it refused to budge from the ground. Nobody can lift it. The atmosphere turned panicky, and almost everyone cried upon seeing the coffin not moving one inch, despite the strong attempts of able men.

Fortunately, someone finally remembered the late Habib Noh's instructions; came forward and addressed the true situation to everyone. Each person realised their lapse in memory and immediately decided to proceed to Mount Palmer instead. Through the will of God, the coffin was able to move at much ease and cries of Allahu Akbar! (God is Great!) filled the air. As per his parting wish, Habib Noh was safely buried at Mount Palmer.

His karamah did not end there. During World War 2, when Telok Blangah was extensively aerial bombed by the Japanese, not a single bomb touch Habib Noh’s tomb. And when the Singapore’s government wanted to build an elevated highway along Tanjung Pagar, the bridge was designed to curved around it, the height almost on the same level as Habib Noh’s Mausoleum. It was almost impossible for every driver not to notice it. Now everyone can visit him without going up the 49 steps to the top of the hill that housed his grave.

Next time, when you drive around that corner towards the end of Tanjung Pagar’s highway bridge towards Changi Airport, do not forget to recite Al-Fatihah for this great saint.

May Allah bless his soul.

Doi - Kangen Band

Sejenak ku terdiam dan membisu
Membuatku lelah dan tanpa arah
Coba mengertilah coba pahamilah
Arti cinta sesungguhnya

Dan letakkan hatimu disini
Ku berjanji kau tak 'kan kusakiti
Sejuk sepi sedang nampak hanya bintang
Hanya kaulah yang ku sayang

Ku latih kau terbang diatas awan
Agar kau tegar dan tak terkalahkan
Jadilah jagoan seperti yang ku inginkan
Agar dapat ku banggakan

Namun sikapmu kini telah berubah
Membuatku resah dan serba salah
Kau berdiam diri membuat nadiku berhenti
Katakanlah hei kekasih

Reff:
Coba kau pikirkan, coba kau renungkan
Apa yang kau inginkan telah aku lakukan
Coba kau pikirkan coba kau renungkan
Tanya bintang-bintang hanya kaulah yang ku sayang
Coba kau katakan apa yang kau inginkan
Apa yang kau butuhkan telah aku berikan
Coba kau katakan apa yang kau inginkan

Blog EntryKurniakanKu "Cinta Agung"Jun 7, '08 6:19 PM
for everyone
Suamiku teringat satu nasyid yg slalu mummy nyanyikan, sungguh hiba ketika almarhumah menyanyikan nye, sehingga beliau melinangan kan airmatanya.  Lagu ni selalu diputar, sehinnga rosak cd, dan sehingga anak2 dan diriku hafal lirik nya.

Pernah cd ini rosak, kerana slalu diputar, beliau cari dan beli cd kedua, ketika itu ujian beliau amat berat, ketika almarhuma tampa suami, sendirian menjalani hidup membesarkan anak2 yatim yg almarhuma didik.

Macam2 onak2 duri yg Almarhuma lalui, kekuatan jati diri beliau amat ku kagumi.... Allah..... tk sanggup diriku teruskan... sebak...... Allahh..... Allahhhhhh.........
Cinta Agung - Qathrunnada - Qathrunnada
Ya Allah engkau tuhanku
Tiada tuhan melainkan engkau
Engkau cinta agungku
Nabi Muhammad pesuruhmu

Ya Allah engkau sumber bahagia
Engkaulah keselamatan
Ya Allah engkau sumber keamanan
Engkau adalah segalanya

Ya Allah engkaulah pelindungku
Engkaulah sumber rezekiku
Di waktu sakit kau sembuhkan
Di waktu lapar kau beri makan

chorus
Ya Allah engkau cinta agungku
Cintaku haraplah di balas
Ya Allah engkau cinta agungku
Janganlah cintaku tidak di balas

Jangan biarkan aku tanpa bimbingan
Pimpinlah aku ke jalan yang benar
Kepada engkaulah harapanku
Janganlah hampakan perasaanku

Maha Such Tuhan, telah banyak yg kau tunjuk kan, betapa hina dunia ini, betape kuasa mu Ya Ilahi, Kenapa diri ini masih lalai, kenapa diri ini masih batu, hati ini kurang rase takut dgn mu Ya Ilahi.

Kasihanilah diriku Ya Rabb, Moga aku sempat bertaubat sbelum ajalku, Tunjuk kan lah aku jalan keluar dari nafsu jahat diri ku, beri Hidayah tunjuki lah jalan yg Benar (Lurus), beri lah aku kekuatan untuk membetulkan jiwa dan iman.

Betape bodoh nya aku, betape kosong diriku Tolong lah aku Ya Rabb, beri sedikit cahaya Iman supaya aku dpt rase nikmat beribadah.
Allaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh................ amien..

rasa BerTuhan (abang) - rasa BerTuhan (abang

RASA BERTUHAN

Kalau manusia mengenali Tuhannya
Hancur luluh hatinya lembutlah jiwanya
Tak sempat mengingati perkara yang lain
Hati n jiwanya semata-mata terpaku
Dengan Tuhannya

Jika manusia mengenali kehebatan
Keagungan Tuhannya kecutlah perutnya
Kalau manusia sentiasa sedar pendengaran
Penglihatan dan pengetahuannya

% Chorus
Tuhan tidak pernah lekang dari manusia
Nescaya manusia ini tawaduk merendah diri
Di bumi Tuhannya.....2x

Jika manusia rasa bertuhan hidup di hatinya
Matilah angan-angan
Takut pun datang menerpa dihatinya
Manusia akan sibuk dengan dirinya
Tak sempat memikirkan diri orang lain
Takut dan bimbang tak sempat mengumpat

Aduh! kalau Tuhan sentiasa dihati
Perasaan berTuhan mencengkam dihati
Mengenang pula nikmat
Nikmat Tuhan yang banyak
Bertambah perasaan cinta dan takut
Cinta kerana nikmat dan kasih sayangnya
Takut kalau nikmat ditarik semula
Kalau terbuat dosa akan diazabnya

Begitulah kalau seseorang hamba mengenali Tuhannya
Hatinya sangat sibuk dengan Tuhan
Dunia dan nikmatnya tidak mempengaruhinya
Sekalipun dunia di tangannya

Sikit sebanyak info abt Ear Candling
Get Natural, Gentle Relief Through Ear Candling

Ear candling, also known as ear coning, is the process of removing build up of excess wax in the ears. Its ancient origins come to us from the Native American Indians, the Chinese, Egyptian, Mayan, and Tibetan cultures.

The ear contains nerve endings and acupuncture points to every other area of the body, mind, and emotions. The nerve endings are connected by streams of the subtle energy flow, which carries our life force energy. If hearing is impaired or blocked, we are disconnected from that energy. Through a process called "convection," softer waxes and toxins will be drawn out of the ear, oxidized, and turned into vapors during the procedure.

Ear candling acts as a catalyst to clear out debris accumulated on nerve endings. This allows for clear vibrational flow to the corresponding areas of the mind, body, and spirit. This clears the way for other methods of healing.

Several clients have reported the benefits of receiving an ear candling treatment before traveling on a plane.

Attention !!!! Hotdog @ IKEA "NOT HALAL"

Shopping at IKEA is very enjoyable,  especially after tired window shopping would be great if cooling off with IKEA's soft vanilla ice-cream , it is one of the best cheap ice-cream, the vanilla taste so superb i give , my late mom, my children my hubby all love the ice-cream.

IKEA sell cheap hotdog's too, but the hotdog there still not certified halal by MUIS, although it is served by "makcik" .  While enjoying our ice-cream, nabilah my youngest daughter want to have the hotdog too, since she saw a few muslims family eating the hotdog, then I told her, the hotdog cannot eat since its not halal, but she insisted saying alot of pple having it,  so i ask my hubby to ask the aunty whether it is already halal, the lady replying him just by shaking her head  , so without further due and any question asked, my hubby just walk away.

So many pple q-ing, including muslims family, yalah, the hotdog is cheap only $1.

Pity the makcik hv to served the non-halal hotdog too, kesian die tu... siape tahu whats in her heart.. .. Sorry for the blurry image, hv to edit cos nanti kene sue lak .. hehehe...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us  comment from kak shhhh67 on 18.1.08 @ 4.12pm

I called up ikea customer service . First , they connect me to their restaurant supervisor then he transfer to his manager which later transfer me Iskandar , the maanger of ikea for food and beverage.

I told him about the concern . He cited that it is up to individual to go and think if the restaurant is halal or not . Terang2 the restaurant is not halal . Why the muslim still patronise. I told him The aunty wearing tudung cause the confusion . He said that aunty with tudung cannot work where they like ??

I told him , why not place an label saying that the hotdog is not halal . He refuse to do anything about it. I told him more or less he is responsible for those muslim who buy the hotdog. He was agitated.

I'm personally moved by her initiative to call the IKEA management, but somehow the response from the manager there make me upset, i mcm nak boycot je tu IKEA cafe, hhmmm terpaksa korbankan my fav ice-cream.. tkmo makan pat sane lagi... mudah2an Allah kuatkan iman ku... selemah2nye iman, kalau tk leh nak bantah, harus ade sifat benci akan kemungkaran...
